Michael Chandler thinks the people of Ireland are starting to turn on Conor McGregor.
McGregor has been known to ruffle the feathers of many. Whether it be his foes inside the Octagon or even politicians in Ireland, the “Notorious” one knows how to get under the skin of others.
Chandler says that McGregor has even burned a few bridges in his home country.

Michael Chandler appeared on “Bussin’ With The Boys” and he recalled the time he was in a steakhouse in New York City. While inside the establishment, he spoke with an Irish MMA fan, who had grown tired of McGregor’s antics.
“There was a couple sitting next to us, it was her birthday,” Chandler said. “Turns out we started talking to her. I noticed her accent, she’s from Ireland, her name is Laura. I said, ‘Hey, who are you rooting for in this next fight?’ She said in her cute little accent, ‘I’ll tell you that we used to love Conor, but now I’ll tell you what, if I was a vet I’d take him out behind the barn and put him down.’ I’m not joking.”
Chandler also revealed conversations such as that one have pretty much been the gist of what he’s gotten on how Conor McGregor is perceived by his Irish fans.
“That’s my anecdotal experience of speaking to people from Ireland or speaking to anybody who has been in Ireland and asked about Conor,” Chandler said.
Fans are awaiting to see when McGregor will return to action. UFC CEO Dana White has denied that anything is official in terms of “Mystic Mac’s” next fight. Dana has said he expects McGregor to return for the summer, but he’s also insinuated that Conor isn’t ready to make his return.
