Donald Cerrone’s Cornerman Joe Schilling Has Harsh Words For UFC 238 Loss

Donald Cerrone had a somewhat controversial loss to Tony Ferguson at UFC 238. His cornerman, Joe Schilling, disagrees pretty strongly with the officials and media.

In between the second and third round at UFC 238, “Cowboy” Cerrone blew his broken nose. This caused the sinuses to fill with air, resulting in Cerrone’s right eye to swell completely shut. The referee and physician then decided to stop the fight.

However, the controversy comes in fact that right before this happened, Ferguson landed a hard shot, after the bell. Upon an instant replay review by Dan Miragliotta, it was determined that the late blow did not cause the eye to swell.

Cerrone was disappointed, but nonchalant about things, in typical “Cowboy” fashion. However, his cornerman Joe Schilling had different thoughts, as made evident by this Instagram post:

“You know what all these mma outlets saying that’s a tko can suck my f—ing d–k. You get your nose broke by the hardest shot of the fight which was after the bell go back to the corner with your lower eye lid swollen and tell your coach f–k it I’m giving it all next round then blow your nose and it swells up from the broken nose from a late shot and they call the other guy winner by tko. F–k you. If you get kicked in the nuts after the round is over and can’t continue they get the win? straight up f—ing horse s–t. Respect to Tony it was a great fight he’s not in control of the decision but calling that a win is ridiculous calling that a win by tko is f—ing criminal . Run it back I know a guy”
