The Referee Stops The Contest After Second Round, Victory For Tony Ferguson Due To An Eye Injury!


UFC 238 PPV (Pay-Per-View) event is happening live tonight (Saturday, June 8, 2019), from inside United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Welcome to the most intriguing match of the evening! The former interim UFC Lightweight champion, BJJ black belt, and TUF 13 Welterweight tournament winner Tony Ferguson squares off against the man with most finishes in UFC history and Gaidojutsu black belt owner, Donald “The Cowboy” Cerrone! This will be an outstanding 155-pound bout!

Tony Ferguson is on a super-hot streak, with 11 wins in a row! Donald Cerrone won his last three bouts. The referee in charge of this superb contest is Dan Miragliotta. The clash of titans begins!


Round 1

Cerrone attacks with a low kick, Tony fires back with a body shot. Jabs Donald, but he ate few shots to the body, it seems Tony’s strategy works well for now.

Right hook Ferguson, countered by Cerrone’s low kick, great match. Low kick exchange, Ferguson lands an elbow. Great punch. Front kick to the body, followed by a low kick, awesome performance by Tony! Spinning back elbow missed by a hair, great body shot.

Ferguson kicks to the body, eats a jab. Left hook, body kick Cerrone. It looks like Ferguson was rocked for a second, but he recovered quickly. The round ends, maybe 10-9 Cerrone, unsure.


Round 2

Ferguson lands a jab, and it seems “The Cowboy” is stunned!

Quick recovery, Cerrone lands a low kick. Left hook Ferguson, body kick followed by a brutal low kick. Cerrone lands one-two combination, followed by a dangerous kick to the leg.

Ferguson touches Cerrone’s chin with a spinning back elbow and lands a good punch along the way. Low kick Ferguson, who keeps coming forward. And another one, and now a big jab, Tony looks to end the fight!

Cerrone ate another elbow, and now this turns into a wild brawl, last 10 seconds of round 2. Straight right after the bell, the ref warns Tony, no point abduction. 10-9 Ferguson.


The doctor comes into the Octagon before the beginning of the third round and takes a look at the Cowboy. The referee has to stop the bout due to an injury TKO and gives victory to Ferguson.

Final Result: Tony Ferguson def. Donald Cerrone via TKO (Eye Injury) R2, 5:00
