Breaking: Bellator signs Wanderlei Silva to multi-fight deal, will likely punch Tito or Kimbo in the face

Bellator welcome to the Wanderlei Silva business. In a MMA world where people being murdered via axes are a necessary thing, Bellator has reportedly signed Silva to a multi-fight deal. Sure Silva is on suspension by the Nevada Athletic Commission until May 2017 but that doesn’t mean Wandy can’t fight overseas in Bellator in 2016? Right?

ESPN with the breaking news

“Sources close to the promotion confirmed the signing to ESPN.com on Wednesday. Silva, 39, announced his retirement in September 2014 but was always a likely candidate for a comeback.”

But seriously where can Silva fight?

“Bellator officials have not commented on the specifics of Silva’s debut. Technically he could fight outside of Nevada before his suspension ends, but doing so could lead to future complications in acquiring a license.”

The details are kind of hazy so maybe Silva fights only exhibition matches until his suspension is up? Or maybe Silva fights at Bellator’s first show held in international waters? Whenever Silva competes inside the Bellator cage match-ups with Tito Ortiz, Kimbo Slice or even Rampage Jackson could equal ratings gold for the Spike TV promo.
