Brandon Moreno, who is set to headline UFC Mexico City on Saturday against Brandon Royval, starred in a ‘This Is SportsCenter’ commercial.

The commercial sees Moreno in the ESPN office elevator with his coaches, as they are trying to fire him up as if he’s about to go make the walk for a fight. It’s a funny commercial, as SportsCenter has been bringing back the ‘This Is SportsCenter’ commercials which were insanely popular a few years ago.

The commercial also got some good laughs from fans on social media, and it’s just another way that ESPN is helping promote the UFC. Moreno, of course, is set to headline UFC Mexico City in a rematch against Brandon Royval where the winner could get a title shot.

Brandon Moreno hoping to get win in front of home fans

Brandon Moreno is set to fight in Mexico in the UFC for the third time in his career as he will face Brandon Royval. However, heading into the matchup, Moreno is winless in Mexico as he lost to Sergio Pettis and fought Askar Askarov to a draw.

So, heading into Saturday’s matchup, Moreno is looking to get a win in Mexico in the UFC for the first time in his career.

“I feel a little bit frustrated, because obviously I want to put that on my legacy,” Moreno said at media day. “Raise my hand in front of my people, in front of my Mexican flag. That’s it. It’s something that happened in the past, and I just try to turn the page. It’s frustrating, but I’ve been living with a lot of pressure since 2020, fighting for championships and rematches and the trilogies. I’m just trying to have fun in this one. At the same time, I understand the importance this fight has to my record right now. I’m focusing on Brandon Royval. I’m focusing on the challenge in front, and I’m ready.”

Brandon Moreno enters his UFC Mexico City main event as a sizeable -298 favorite to defeat Brandon Royval.
