Former ONE Championship And Bellator champion Rips Lobov Following His Release From UFC
On Tuesday news broke that the Russian G.O.A.T Artem Lobov granted release from UFC. But that’s not the end he hinted a move to Bellator MMA, ONE, Rizin, KSW, and Bare Knuckle FC.
Following this news, newly acquired welterweight contender Ben Askren took aim at ‘Russian Hammer’ on social media.
“Did the GOAT get cut?” Askren wrote.

Lobov, who’s a longtime friend of former two-division champ Conor McGregor and sparring partner at SBG Ireland, quickly responded in a funny way.
“Keep that belt warm for me Ben, I’ll be back for it after I take over boxing,” Lobov wrote.

Askren took things to another level, trashed Lobov for his MMA record.
“Artem you literally stink at fighting, your record is 13-15,” he said. “I’m glad you’re living the gimmick because we are all getting a good laugh out of it.”

Artem promptly fired back.
“Relax there Ben, I went the true fighters road and fought the best at every turn, I came up short often, but I gave it my all every time and never quit or hide from the challenge like some,” he said.

Askren didn’t stop there, send out another shot at Lobov.
“Are you trolling me? Because there is no way you actually believe this right?”

After earning a TKO win over Shinya Aoki under the ONE Championship banner back in 2017, ‘Funky’ retired from MMA. He’s currently booked to meet former UFC champion Robbie Lawler at UFC 235 this March.
What do think of there heated spat? Do you think Lobov will do better in other promotions?
