The Bare Knuckle Boxing promotion that just held Paulie Malignaggi versus Artem Lobov? Yeah, for some God awful reason the biggest BKB promo wants to get in bed with Convicted Rapist Alexander Emelianenko.

“Yet despite posting record numbers, BKFC is not content to sit back on their heels. Speaking to The Body Lock, BKFC President David Feldman confirmed that the promotion is currently “in talks” with Russian heavyweight Aleksander Emelianenko (28-7-1 MMA).
Recently, Emelianenko was released by Russian promotion RCC in the wake of a drunk driving incident this May.
Should the talks between Emelianenko and BKFC progress, any fight in BKFC would mark Emelianenko’s debut in the promotion and the sport of bare-knuckle boxing. Additionally, a potential fight would be the heavyweight’s first since August of 2018.”
Of course Alex was banned from MMA, not for being a sex offender, but due to drunk driving. A fitting end to his combat sports career or so many thought.

Emelianenko pleaded not guilty and claimed the sex was consensual. Prosecutors asked for five years in prison for Emelianenko. On May 19, 2015, Emelianenko was found guilty of sexual assault and convicted to four and a half years in prison along with a $1000 (US) fine.
That’s just the baseline details of the many run ins with the law Alexander Emelianenko has had. A clear pattern of behavior, but because he is a heavyweight with hands, he keeps falling up in his career.
