Alex Pereira thinks Israel Adesanya will be done with MMA after UFC 287.

Pereira and Adesanya are set to rematch in MMA in the main event of the pay-per-view card from Miami in a do-or-die scrap for Adesanya. ‘The Last Stylebender’ is 0-3 against Pereira in combat sports as he lost twice to him in kickboxing and lost in their first MMA back in November at UFC 281 by fifth-round TKO.

Ahead of the rematch, Adesanya has been vocal in saying this is his last chance to defeat Pereira. Should he lose, it’s uncertain what would be next for him but Pereira thinks the former middleweight champ would make the move to WWE.

“The what that I see it, it’s a place for Adesanya because, after this fight, what else is going to do here? He already lost at light heavyweight. It’s a place for him to go,” Pereira said to ESPN.

Adesanya Says WWE Move Is ‘Later On Down The Track’

If Pereira does defeat Adesanya it is uncertain what would be next for him as he likely won’t get another crack at the champ. Perhaps he does go to 205lbs despite Pereira thinking he won’t, or maybe he does make the move to WWE.

However, Israel Adesanya spoke to TMZ Sports ahead of his UFC 287 showdown with Alex Pereira and said he will be in WWE in the future but that won’t be for a while.

“That’s later on down the track, that’s later on down the track,” Adesanya said. “I’m still, I mean, that era, the Attitude Era was my era of wrestling.”

Currently, Adesanya is the -155 favorite over Pereira meaning the oddsmakers expect him to get his hand raised. Yet, he was also the favorite against Pereira back in November and we saw the Brazilian pull off the upset.

If Pereira does pull off the upset, perhaps Adesanya’s move to WWE is sooner than he thinks as Pereira suggests.
