With the final quarter of the year coming upon us, it seems that there isn’t as much hype surrounding video games as there normally is. At this time is when we first start to see huge releases, which we did just see the release of Destiny but outside of that, there just isn’t that much for the rest of the year. Sure there’s Smash Brothers 4 which is a huge game but how many people actually have a WiiU? Then you have your Far Crys, Assassins Creeds, which have lost their luster with seemingly endless sequels.
This year just doesn’t meet the lofty expectations that one would have for an end of year line up. One game that would immediately make this lackluster lineup into one of the greatest of all time is Grim Fandango remastered. The unforgettable adventure game doesn’t have a release date as of yet but hey, if it came out this year, well… I’d be really happy.
What else made me really happy is listening to the creators talk about their love child at PAX.
