Tyson Fury Out-Dueled Otto Wallin Despite He Suffered A Nasty Cut Above The Eye!

The ex-WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion Tyson “The Gypsy King” Fury returned to action tonight (Saturday, September 14, 2019) to meet the Swede Otto Wallin inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In his last bout, Fury (28-0-1, 20 KO) annihilated Tom Schwarz. Wallin’s (20-0, 1 NC; 13 KO) last match against Nick Kisner was ruled a no-contest because his opponent was cut after an accidental headbutt.

The Fight

Tyson Fury pressed in the first round, but Wallin delivered one big left hand, there was a lot of clinching. 10-9 Wallin.

Wallin landed a lot of body shots in round 2, but Fury was more aggressive, pressed him against the ropes and punished him with few devastating punches. 10-9 Fury.

It seems the Swede woke up again in the third frame, despite he ate one strong uppercut, he was more active, landed more clean shots, and Fury even suffered a cut above the eyebrow. 10-9 Wallin.

Wallin continued advancing in the next round, Fury was unable to land big shots. Left to the mid-section Wallin, cross Fury. 10-9 Fury I think.

Round six started amazingly, fighters were trading shots and Wallin’s left hand nearly rocked Fury. Then the ref stopped the bout and the doctor inspected Fury’s cut. After the match was restarted, the brawl continued, there were so many strikes to the head and mid-section. 10-9 Wallin?

Uppercut and left hook from Fury opened round 7. A lot of clinching, nice right cross by Fury. Wallin was trying to press his opponent, but Tyson dominated. 10-9 Fury.

Fury put a huge globe of Vaseline on his cut, the ref didn’t care. Wallin was on the ropes but he was landing some strong body shots, Fury fired back with quick combos. 10-9 Fury.

Wallin wasn’t much aggressive in round 9, Fury controlled him with the jab. After a straight left in the center, the Swede landed one tight uppercut. Then Fury attacked with a barrage of heavy blows on the ropes. 10-9 Fury.

Heavy shots for Fury at the beginning of round 10, great uppercut. Body shot Wallin, but Fury counters with an even stronger punch. Fury continues punishing his rival with combos. 10-9 Fury.

Fury continues to outland his opponent, he looks faster in the eleventh frame. Hard overhand followed by uppercuts and body shots, Wallin defends. 10-9 Fury.

Fury controlled round 12 too, a lot of clean shots, Wallin was throwing but his strikes were not powerful. 10-9 Fury.

Final Result: Tyson Fury defeats Otto Wallin via unanimous decision (116-112, 117-111 and 118-110)
