Former WBO featherweight and super featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson has a message for UFC bantamweight titleholder Sean O’Malley.

Despite “The Predator’s” loss, his performance in the fight seems to have inspired confidence among his MMA colleagues who aspire to step into the boxing ring. For example, O’Malley, known for his striking skills, has often shown interest in a potential showdown with a boxing superstar like Gervonta Davis.

Many fans and experts were thrown for a loop when Francis Ngannou almost pulled off a massive upset over Tyson Fury in their recent boxing match. The close bout rekindled the beef between boxing champion Devin Haney and O’Malley.

Haney warned the “Sugar” show that he would not find the same success that Ngannou had. O’Malley responded by saying the UFC doesn’t think there’s any money in that fight.

Shakur Stevenson Has A Message For Sean O’Malley

During an interview with TMZ Sports, Shakur Stevenson said that he isn’t opposed to mixing it up with a top MMA fighter in the boxing ring.

“I say if they feel that way, give it a try. I think that you got some MMA guys that want to come get in the ring with somebody like me, I would love the opportunity to beat up an MMA guy and show them that there’s real levels to it,” Stevenson said.

In particular, Stevenson would like to share the ring with Sean O’Malley. He had a message for the UFC 135-pound king.

“Tell him we can get it in. I’m ready to lock in with him,” Stevenson said. “It’s levels to this s**t. If he wants to come try his hand, I’ll beat the s**t out of him.”

History shows that the UFC would likely be opposed to O’Malley venturing off for a boxing match. In fact, this was one of the reasons why the promotion and Francis Ngannou couldn’t come to terms on a new deal. In general, the UFC likes having control over its fighters, and the company’s CEO Dana White has made it clear that he did not enjoy the experience of Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor, with Showtime being White’s biggest issue.
