Deontay Wilder Announces Rematch With Tyson Fury

Late last year, Deontay Wilder fought Tyson Fury to an exciting draw. Finally, it has been announced that the rematch will be taking place soon!

After Tyson Fury survived a huge knockdown, and made it to a decision with Wilder, fans were clamoring for rematch. Now, after almost exactly 6 months, Deontay Wilder announced Friday night, that the rematch was set. He took to Twitter to make the announcement.

“Well, As I always say I’m the realest Champion in the business and as I’ve mentioned before I must handle all my Controversial Fights ASAP‼️

Luis Ortiz is first then Tyson Fury Next.

By no means I’m I looking pass Ortiz, He’s a dangerous fighter but  I am looking through him. (Window Shopping) Shid, I’m the best ain’t No guess’N… what other champion Give you what your Miss’N…

💫All Contracts have been signed already‼️ it’s officially on‼️

So according to the post, it would seem that first Wilder will be re-matching Luis Ortiz. After this, it is expected in early 2020 that he will be taking on Tyson Fury. The latter would be the first event since May-Pac to be co-promoted between Top Rank and PBC.

At this point, Tyson Fury is scheduled to compete against Tom Schwartz, and another TBD opponent later this year. So along the way the match could very well fall apart. If Deontay Wilder is to be believed, the contracts are already signed so the bout should be a done deal.
