Daniel Cormier is fully backing Francis Ngannou after Tyson Fury’s “disrespectful” move ahead of their scheduled boxing match.

Fury, the WBC heavyweight champion, is set for a non-title fight against Ngannou on October 28 in Saudi Arabia. Recently, it was announced that an undisputed heavyweight championship fight between Fury and Oleksandr Usyk has been made official for the winter. This would be a quick turnaround from the Fury vs. Ngannou matchup. Many took the announcement as a clear sign that “The Gypsy King” isn’t taking “The Predator” seriously.

Daniel Cormier On Tyson Fury Disregarding Francis Ngannou

During an episode of ESPN’s “DC & RC” show, Daniel Cormier said that the Oleksandr Usyk fight announcement shows everything you need to know about how Tyson Fury views the Francis Ngannou fight.

“It is the most disrespectful thing Tyson Fury could do,” Cormier said. “It is so disrespectful, Tyson Fury knows. It’s kind of crazy, bro because I hope Francis knocks his head off. I like Tyson Fury, I watched his show on Netflix and fell in love with the dude. I was talking about him prior and I was like, ‘Ah, I don’t really know about Tyson.’ I like Tyson Fury so much now. I love his personality, I love his family, but it is the most disrespectful thing that you could do. He’s scheduled to fight two months later, essentially, saying that he’s gonna be completely clean when he’s done with Francis Ngannou. So, he’s gonna beat Francis and go fight the number two heavyweight in the world right after. It’s crazy.”

Ngannou has responded to the Fury vs. Usyk announcement, questioning how “The Gypsy King” thinks he’ll be cleared in time after what he’ll do to him on fight night. “The Predator” has also said this isn’t the first time he’s been underestimated.
