Kayla Harrison was able to pull off a massive comeback win as she dominated Aspen Ladd en route to PFL supremacy. After the victory, Kayla confidently said she would be glad to beat Cris Cyborg next.

Kayla wants it now

Speaking to MMA Junkie after her win, Harrison was unsurprisingly asked about fighting Cyborg. For Kayla, time is of the essence and it should happen now that she is in her peak.

“I don’t know, I can’t play these games. I’m a mom, I’m tired. I don’t care. I hope she fights me, but if she doesn’t, it’s her loss. It’s the fans’ loss, really, because I think it’s an amazing fight. I respect her, I think that she goes out there and implements her game plan, and she’s tenacious, she’s a killer, she goes after her opponents, and she’s one of the best to ever do it. I have nothing but respect for her, but I want to get in the cage and try to beat the sh**t out of her. That’s it.”

“I’m not going to wait,” she added. “I’m 33, I got into this sport to be the best and to climb as high as I can climb. I feel like I’m hitting my stride now, I’m hitting my peak, I’m in a great place, but I’m not going to do this forever. I’ve been doing two-a-days since I was 12 years old, so my body isn’t going to be in great shape at 40. But I do love it, but I’m not going to wait for anybody. I just waited a year and it almost killed me so I’m not waiting for anybody.”

Cyborg is down

Right after beating Ladd, Harrison already took a shot at Cyborg and said that the Bellator champ thinks she’s a “bad b*tch.” It didn’t take long for Cyborg to respond on social media and call Kayla “basic.”

“I’m a women. Not a girl. Women don’t refer to themselves as b**ch. [Kayla] You basic,” Cyborg wrote.

Harrison previously voiced her frustration about not getting the fight with Cyborg done all this time. However, PFL founder Donn Davis finally gave a groundbreaking update on the highly-anticipated showdown between the two and confirmed that Harrison vs. Cyborg will happen next year.

Davis said that Cyborg and Kayla have two fights slated for next year and one of them is the match that they both have been waiting for.
