- Yoel Romero knocked Alex Polizzi out at Bellator 280
- Polizzi shared actual photos of his broken jaw and foot on social media
Despite suffering a tough knockout loss to Yoel Romero at Bellator 280, Alex Polizzi still made the headlines this weekend. However, “Eazy” became a hot subject of discussion not really because of the fight, but due to the damages, he inflicted in the war against the former UFC star.
Out for quite some time
On Wednesday Polizzi, who was on the receiving end of Romero’s series of onslaughts, shared a couple of actual photos of his X-ray after the fight on Instagram. In it, it appears that the Bellator light heavyweight sustained a gruesome broken jaw and a serious foot injury.
“Ope! We should probably just heal and drink @milk for a bit,” Polizzi wrote in the caption.
It can be recalled that Polizzi was able to make it to the third round. However, Romero’s incredible striking was too much to bare and “Eazy” finally lost all his luck just one second before the final bell rang, losing the fight via TKO.

A statement win
Romero’s Bellator 280 victory over Polizzi was his first under the promotion. The 45-year-old was hoping to make a statement win heading into the fight, and he was well aware that he certainly did so.
“I wanted to deliver a message, and I think I did,” Romero said about his win.
It is yet to know what lies ahead of both Romero and Polizzi. The only thing certain at this point is that the pair put on an epic show at Bellator 280.
