It looks like Paige VanZant will be back in the combat sports space in 2024.

VanZant is under contract with BKFC, but she hasn’t competed since July 2021 when she dropped a unanimous decision to Rachael Ostovich. She is 0-2 under the BKFC banner and things were looking bleak in terms of her future with the promotion and perhaps combat sports in general. Fast forward to late 2023 and there is a positive update on VanZant’s fighting future.

Paige VanZant Returning to BKFC Soon?

BKFC chief David Feldman recently spoke to Danny Segura of MMAJunkie.com, and during the interview he revealed a recent chat he had with Paige VanZant. Feldman said that fight fans hoping to see “12 Gauge” trading punches once again might just get their wish.

“We just had a conversation with her management team about two weeks ago on it,” Feldman told MMA Junkie. “They said, ‘Just give us a date, but we want at least three months notice because she wants to be in great shape for this one and make sure she can concentrate on her training.’ So there is a very, very good probability that you’re going to see Paige VanZant back with BKFC for at least one more fight.”

VanZant has made it clear publicly that she receives more money for her online content than she gets for fighting. It would explain her long layoff from the fight game, but if Feldman is to be believed, then that competitive itch seems to be alive and well.

BKFC appeared to roll out the big checks for “PVZ” for her two fights under the promotion. She once claimed to be making ten times more for her BKFC bouts than she was under the UFC banner. Middle Easy will keep you posted on what is next for Paige VanZant once those details become available.
