UFC And Bellator Vet Hector Lombard Signs To BKFC

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships continues their run of signing former UFC fighters. This time, it comes in the form of the Cuban, Hector Lombard.

BKFC has been making waves lately, by signing some fighters who used to be big stars in the UFC and/or Bellator. First, it was in the form of Chris Leben, who fought bare knuckle previously under a different organization. Following that, the biggest star they have had to date, was Artem Lobov, who faced pro boxing champ Paulie Malignaggi. Moreover, they most recently announced the signing of Pride and UFC legend Wanderlei Silva.

However, now it seems they have signed another former UFC and Bellator fighter, Hector Lombard. Lombard, who was a Bellator champion, came to the UFC as a highly-touted prospect. Unfortunately, he went 3-8 in the promotion, with his last fight being a unanimous decision loss to Thales Leites, in 2018.

Nevertheless, it has been announced that Lomard would be signing with BKFC. Following the announcement, he issued this statement:

“I’ve wanted to fight for this amazing organization for a while and I’m excited that it’s all come together. Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is the next level of fighting and I am glad to be part of it.”

Additionally, BKFC President David Feldman gave a statement regarding the signing of Lomard.

“Hector Lombard is one of the most devastating punchers in MMA history and we are looking for Hector to make a huge splash with BKFC. As a fan, I cannot wait to see how Hector does in the squared circle. He’s exciting and explosive. This is an incredible signing.”

No information is known about who Hector Lombard will fight in his debut. However it is known that he will compete in BKFC’s 185lb Light Heavyweight division.
