Derrick Lewis Is Picking On Daniel Cormier Heading Into Their Title Bout
This past Saturday Derrick Lewis extended his winning streak to three straight fights after pulling off a miraculous knockout win over Alexander Volkov with just 11 seconds left in the third and final round of their heavyweight bout in Las Vegas. After the victory, “The Black Beast” said he doesn’t feel nearly ready to fight for the title.
It seems like UFC had different plans for Lewis as he’s getting a heavyweight title shot against divisions’ champion Daniel Cormier. Cormier will put his strap on the line against Lewis in the main headline of UFC 230 on November 3. There is no doubt this is an intriguing matchup, with ‘DC’ wrestling would be too much for “The Black Beast” to handle it, but hey watch out Lewis is famous for knocking out an opponent in the entirety of his career.
Lewis who recently took to Instagram and release his own version of the hilarious promo for his upcoming fight against Cormier from Madison Square Garden in New York. The video uses a clip from Lewis and Cormier had heated words ahead of Cormier’s showdown with Stipe Miocic this past summer.
