[div class=”notice” class2=”icon”]The following is from an article on DstryrSG, part of the MiddleEasy Network.[/div]
“But, why,” you ask? Because, f*ck yeah (or, “heck yeah,” if you’re under 15 years old), grapplers, that’s why. Who doesn’t like a good hardcore CACC sesh?
Sometimes we at DSTRYR/SG just get lucky, and the gods of grappling look down on us with pity and throw us a bone or two. That’s what’s going on here. D/SG resident CACC ambassador, Martin Roy, (Ville Émard Catch Wrestling in Quebec, Canada) has graciously provided us with another of his no-frills, down n’ dirty catch demos. This time he showing us a series of horribly painful and debilitating subs from the tried and true scarf-hold aka kesa gatame (for the judo players) position. If you don’t know Martin, you should. We’ve featured several of his techniques here (tray also, here).
When we’ve lost our way and are perhaps focusing too much on getting extensively inverted and adding “bolo” to the end of every move we make in BJJ, Martin keeps us grounded … with the elegant brutality of CACC joint manipulation. God love him.
Thanks, Martin. Stay warm.
