Oh, yeah, Marcelo’s the best – maybe even the best there ever was (so far). And,, heck yeah, he’s a joy to watch – seemingly effortless in his flawless technique. The arm drags, the sweeps! The gnarly chokes. And, he lays it on the line against all takers. It’s a beautiful thing.
But, honestly, we’re kind of pathetic. Yeah. Scrounging the way we do for any video footage of him on the mats with anyone of note. Attentively re-watching, with the hope of learning from the young master of our craft.
Last week, it was Marcelo versus Cobrinha (and it was glorious and barely visible), and now it’s Marcelo versus Demian Maia. Yeah, it’s pathetic. But, it’s so good.
