Israel Adesanya has made it clear, he wants Dricus Du Plessis next.

After Du Plessis said he was the real African fighter in the UFC ahead of his UFC 285 fight in March, Adesanya took exception. The two have been going at it and at UFC 287, ‘The Last Stylebender’ reclaimed the title with a second-round KO win over Alex Pereira, to only add to the hype of the scrap.

Since Adesanya has been the champ, he has continued to take shots at Du Plessis and he says that is the fight he wants. He also makes it clear, the fight will not go well for the South African.

‘I’m going to torture this guy’

“I tried to do it in South Africa, but apparently it might not work,” Adesanya said on his YouTube channel. “But again, I told Dana, you guys beat COVID before any other big sporting league got on the field or on the court, you guys did that. You can do anything. I still believe they can. I want to do it in South Africa or somewhere in Africa. [Du Plessis] thinks they’re going to have his back. It’s only the product of him that’s going to have his back. He doesn’t understand who I am.

“Like I said, he’s created division. I don’t like that. He didn’t have to do that. He didn’t have to do that. You don’t understand, I’m here now. I’m going to f**k this guy up. I’m going to torture this guy,” Adesanya continued. “You don’t have to create division. This is not the time for that s**t. You could have definitely got the fight without talking all that s**t. Well, be careful what you wish for. You got what you want. He’s next. I’m going to f*****g beat him until he’s black.”

Although Israel Adesanya wants to face Dricus Du Plessis next, it may not happen. Instead, the South African is booked to face Robert Whittaker at UFC 290 where the winner will face Adesanya.

Currently, Whittaker is a sizeable betting favorite to beat Du Plessis but Adesany makes it clear, he will be rooting for Du Plessis to get the win so he can hand him his first UFC loss for the belt.
