Tonight, the wild boys come out to fight in Texas and somehow we wonder how Cowboy Cerrone isn’t on this card. Probably because he is goingto fight Robbie Law-oh, that’s right, no, he’s supposed to fight Kevin Gastelum instead in November. Still, that dude fights every week, it’s reasonable to think his crazy ass would be on it. But, instead we get a banger of a fight in Dustin Poirier up against Michael Johnson.
Since Poirier’s speed bump loss to Conor McGregor, he’s returned to Lightweight in a damn killing spree. Now, he’s about to fight Johnson whose last lost was to Nate Diaz. The MMA gods surely are at work on this one. Speaking of, it looks like Porier may have one this one before the prelims even start.

No flinching to be seen here. Just a stone-faced country boy about to dish out a Louisianna asswhoppin’ in the Lone Star state. If Poirier wins this one in dominating fashion (like the 3 KOs of his 4 LW fights so far), then we should see him up against a big name.
Watch the full version of the staredown here from the weigh-ins yesterday.
