Fedor’s hand was surgically repaired in only 15 minutes

When my Samsung television broke, it took repairmen nearly two months to order the parts and get everything back to working condition. I’m not sure how long it would take to repair a cybernetic robot from the future, my only point of reference is my Wal-Mart blender. When rumors of Fedor breaking his hand at Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers surfaced, people said that he would be out for 4-6 months. Whoever postulated that estimate must have made the mistake of thinking Fedor was human. Rookie move. Dude just dislocated his thumb and got the entire thing repaired in 15 minutes with general anesthesia. He’s only out for 4-6 weeks.

Emelianenko, 33, was initially thought to have sustained tendon or ligament damage in his left thumb during his second-round TKO victory over Brett Rogers at Strikeforce/M-1 Global “Fedor vs. Rogers” at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The potentially serious injury could have called for complicated surgery and might have kept the world’s No. 1 heavyweight out of training for an estimated 4-6 months.

Instead, the fighter’s reps said two pins were placed in Emelianenko’s hand to correct the dislocation, and that the bone had not fractured nor broken through the skin as is possible with this type of injury. The 15-minute procedure was performed under general anesthesia at a Santa Monica hospital, said M-1 Global officials.

Also, it’s been reported that Fedor hasn’t even watched any of the fights from the card which he headlined. When you have the power to put god in an arm bar and make him tapout, watching other fighters try out the sport that you perfected is like Optimus Prime watching two microwaves battle it out for supremacy over the kitchen appliances. Fedor probably doesn’t even watch anything…the dude observes. [Source]
