Space is cool. Space is like…really, really, really cool. At night I have to prevent myself from looking up because if I do, I’ll be standing outside for hours just looking at the stars and space. Space is the most fascinating thing, there is so much that we don’t know about it. The simple fact that space is infinite makes my brain want to implode on itself. If space is infinite that means that space is so big that there is another Gary LaPlante writing this same exact article right this second. There is also another Gary LaPlante that is the star of a children’s TV show about dinosaurs, THAT’S HOW BIG SPACE IS!
As a huge fan of space, you’d figure that I would love pieces of fiction that take place in space. Sadly that isn’t the case, Mass Effect, Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, none of them interest me in the least bit. I’ve tried to get into them, it only makes sense that I would enjoy them, but I can’t do it.
