Since a vast majority of you are going to see The Dark Knight Rises at some point this weekend (perhaps with flak jackets under your DC Comics fanboy shirt due to that horrendous shooting in Colorado), it’s only appropriate that I republish an excerpt from our WEC-era Ben Henderson interview when we asked him which comic book universe has the greatest appeal.
Oh, Marvel is ten times better c’mon. The story lines, the characters, there’s no generic—like in DC all the characters are kind of generic. I don’t know, Marvel is better, the following is better, the story lines, the characters, the crossover appeal, in general, and the history of Marvel altogether. DC has one or two, basically it’s just the big two and that’s it, and everyone relies on those two bigger stars.
Ben Henderson failed to mention Image Comics, which would undoubtedly get my vote by a landslide. Let’s face it, where else can you find a super-buff dragon humanoid police offer with a mohawk comprised entirely of scale?
