There is a particularly odd meme that’s been circulating around the net the last few days that I wish had an MMA version: Steve Buscemeyes. Have you guys heard of it? Basically celebrities have their eyes replaced in Photoshop (not in real life, my god) with Steve Buscemi’s. It’s pretty out there, but I’m giggling as I type this since this particular meme really speaks to me, I’m a big Buscemi fan and I find his striking eyes to be one of his finest traits. Besides, what isn’t Steve Buscemi Great in? Steve’s memorable roles include playing Tony’s erstwhile cousin Tony in The Sopranos. Wood chipper fodder in Fargo and don’t forget his most recent project Boardwalk Empire, it’s a modern classic with a great look at prohibition era Jersey. Speaking of Jersey, an MMA fighter I wouldn’t mind getting the Buscemeye treatment is Frankie Edgar, who will be facing Gray Maynard for a third time on May 28th at UFC 130, here’s the trailer for it, sans Steve.
