Ouch. These Strikeforce cuts just keep coming and instead of becoming accustomed to the pain of the UFC slice and dice-this time the pain is felt fairly deep. Zuffa pulled out the giant meat carving knife overnight and slashed right through Team Golden Glory and out of Strikeforce and the UFC. Three more members of the camp were axed last night.
According to a tweet from Martijn de Jong early this morning, Marloes Coenen, Valentijn Overeem and John Einemo have been cut from Strikeforce. This news coming less than a week after they announced Alistair Overeem had been cut due to his inability to participate in the Heavyweight Grand Prix. That cut straight through the guts of Team Golden Glory. Wow.
