Dana White failed to mention that another way you can get into the ‘losing money business’ is if you bet double your life savings on a Dallas Cowboys game at any point from 2008-2012. There’s no rush like anything on this planet than betting double your net worth on Tony Romo completing a pass in the fourth quarter. It’s impossible to be a Cowboys fan without accepting perpetual heart break into your life. I’m not necessarily a fan, but growing up in Dallas I’ve seen my fair share of borderline-suicide fans.
However according to Dana White, there’s an alternate way to get into the ‘losing money business,’ starting your own MMA promotion. Aside from Nick Diaz, there’s only one other MMA promoter that I know: CEO of ONE FC, Victor Cui. That guy is in the ‘making money hand over fist and taking over the landscape of Asian MMA’ business. Although, if you majored in that type of business in college, the title of your exam papers would take up half the sheet.
