If you don’t know who Michael Hackler is, you should. Hackler is the dude behind the MiddleEasy network site MMA-Japan.com and is overall, probably one of the most interesting guys “behind the scenes” in the MMA industry today. At least he would be if MMA had scenes. Or do they? Either way, Michael Hackler is BFF with the Tobikan Judan himself Shinya Aoki, so when the news broke yesterday that the master of flying submissions would be grappling with Antonio McKee at Dream: Fight for Japan (or Dream 17 as all the wrong people call it) he texted him to confirm.
It turns out Shinya doesn’t even know who Antonio McKee is. In fact, ‘The Hackler’ (as I call him) had to send Shinya a Youtube video of Antonio McKee so he knew what he might be up against. The mystery deepens…
Then ex WEC lightweight champ Jamie Varner supposedly was the next fighter tapped to face the Dream lightweight champ, but when I shot him an email asking if he will be fighting or Shinya here was his response:
“I got no info”
So just who is fighting Shinya Aoki at the next Dream event? I don’t think anyone knows. I will tell you what I do know…the Masons are behind this in some shape or form, I can feel it.
