What’s going to happen to James Krause and those involved in the UFC betting scandal, if found guilty? Well, Dana White has an idea of where they’re going to go to be locked up and no, it’s not inside the UFC cage with Francis Ngannou.
The UFC President is currently handling the controversy which comes with the ongoing betting UFC investigation. This would come following a suspicious switch in betting lines right before Darrick Minner vs. Shayilan Nuerdanbieke. Krause, who coaches Minner, is thought to have something to do with it as Minner failed rather quickly in his loss.
‘F*cking Federal Prison’
Krause is now facing massive repercussions for his alleged involvement with the UFC banning their fighters from competing as long as they train under Krause. In addition, Krause is no longer licensed under the Nevada Athletic Commission along with things going sour with his promotion at Fighting Alliance Championship.
What more steps will the UFC take in this ordeal? Well, White has an answer for that.
“People ask me well, what’s the UFC gonna do?” Dana White said at the UFC 282 post-fight presser. “We let these guys know not to bet on fights. Do you know what the outcome of this is? If I penalize them, you get cut. They are gonna go to f*cking federal prison, federal f*cking prison.
“If you are that f*cking stupid and anyone else wants to do it. Knock yourself out,” White added. There is not enough money in it to ruin your life, and not go to jail, go to federal prison.”
Federal prison might just be the punishment for James Krause and other parties involved, if found guilty of fight-fixing etc.
White’s Not Worried
That wasn’t all that Dana White had to say. While there is a lot of controversy going around, the longtime UFC boss doesn’t believe it will have too much of an effect on the promotion.
“Zero. I’m not worried about it at all,” White said, when asked about the betting situation.
We’ll see how this all plays out as there is still much to investigate going forward.
