It’s nearly impossible to write an article about Aleksander Emelianenko and not mention the fact that he hunts bears with nothing but a knife. More specifically, he hunts bears with a spear and a knife, but he finishes the job by putting the bear in a headlock then stabbing it through it’s heart. Take that Brock Lesnar and high powered weapons from 500 yards away. No matter how you feel about hunting, I think you have to respect anyone willing to wrestle their prey down to the ground and shove a blade through their ribs and into their still beating heart. I bet Aleks even locked eyes with the bear as he was killing it too. Part of me really wishes I was Russian sometimes.
Yesterday Fedor’s younger bro entered the M-1 (or is it MMA-1?) ring once again to take on bear-like Tadas Rimkevicius. Let’s watch.
