Watch Brett Rogers talk about the first unanimous decision of his MMA career

My old roommate, a guy that I have thrown in a bed of cacti on a number of occasions, didn’t understand why Rogers received a title shot even though he came off a loss to Fedor. I tried explaining the entire Dutch bathroom incident of 2009, but he just didn’t want to listen. It’s the only way I can justify someone getting a title shot after being finished by a different opponent. If a Dutch toilet isn’t involved, then someone getting a title bout after coming off a loss is nonsense.

Over the weekend, Brett Rogers competed in W-1 against Ruben ‘Warpath’ Villareal. You’ve heard of his name before. He’s the last guy Bas Rutten defeated to end his career on a twenty-two-win streak. Ruben Villareal looks like a guy who would draw strange depictions of people on his bookcover in high-school. He’s one of the very few people in MMA that insists on wearing something to cover up his torso when he fights. He also shaves the sides of his head which has to mean something in the Freudian-based society we live in.

Brett Rogers managed to grab a unanimous decision over Warpath (even losing one round to the judges) and he talks about the first win he received since he KOd Andrei Arlovski in June 2009. [Source]
