A violent brawl broke out during Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal’s latest press conference.

In Anaheim to promote their highly anticipated boxing match scheduled to go down on July 6, Diaz became increasingly agitated as the press event began to wind down on Thursday afternoon. As emcee Brian Campbell attempted to question the TUF alumnus about his upcoming clash with ‘Gamebred,’ Diaz declared that he was done with the whole dog and pony show.

“I’m done with this whole press conference sh*t,” Diaz said. “I’m glad we’re here to promote these great fights that are happening, that’s cool as f*ck, but you know what? Besides that, I think my work here is done. I’m done doing all this sh*t. No more press conferences until my next fight. F*ck this ugly motherf*cker. I hate to disrespect you (Campbell), but I’m sick of seeing you too.

“I’m out. Good to see everybody. Peace out. Shout out to Danny Jacobs and my boy Chris Avila. Love, kick ass. I’ll see y’all next time.”

As event organizers on stage attempted to wrangle Diaz for a faceoff with his opponent, the ‘Stockton Samurai’ suggested that Masvidal “Square off with yourself, motherf*cker” before offering a few solo poses for the camera.

Before long, Diaz walked off stage and the built-up tension inevitably boiled over, resulting in an all-out brawl on stage with Masvidal in the thick of it.

Immediately following the fracas, Fight Hub TV caught up with Diaz backstage to ask him about the incident and why he chose to bail on the press conference.

“I’m a real fighter,” Diaz said. “I’m not gonna sit here, argue, and talk sh*t with people unless we gonna do something. Unless we gonna fight for real. I’m not gonna sit here and talk sh*t with each other and look at each other so it was time for me to go.”

In the middle of the interview, Diaz’s attention was dragged away by what appeared to be members of Masvidal’s camp. The two parties started screaming obscenities at one another, prompting Diaz to walk down a long hallway in pursuit. However, security staff and event coordinators stepped in, preventing another melee from breaking out behind the scenes.
