Top ranked middleweight contenders (and former title challengers) Marvin Vettori and Jared Cannonier collide in the main event of UFC Vegas 75. The high-octane action takes place inside the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Round 1:
Both fighters trade leg kicks. Vettori rocks Cannonier with a big left hand. Vettori swarms Cannonier with constant pressure, looking for the kill-shot. Vettori inflicts a combo on Cannonier, who is now in recovery mode. Cannonier clips Vettori with a 1-2. Vettori returns with a left hand. Vettori attacks with a body kick. Vettori strings together combos on the feet. Vettori works the jab before stunning Cannonier with a punch. Cannonier presses Veottir against the cage, throwing dangerous blows.

Round 2:
Vettori initiates the jab. Cannonier shows Vettori constant pressure on the feet. Vettori works his jab. Cannonier unloads power shots on Vettori two minutes into the round. Cannonier pieces up Vettori with relentless combos. Cannonier fires a leg kick and Vettori goes down to the ground. Vettori tries for a single-leg takedown but eats ground and pound from Cannonier. Vettori gets back up to his feet only to get swarmed some more by Cannonier.
Cannonier lands punch after punch in the striking department, teeing off. Vettori not only survives the final minute of the round but actually returns on Cannonier with some solid striking of his own.

Round 3:
Vettori chops Cannonier with leg kicks. Cannonier comes over with big punches to the head. Vettori lands a 1-2. Cannonier goes to the body with a kick and pesters him with punches. Vettori counters with a straight left hand. Cannonier fires leg kicks before working more punches upstairs. Cannonier gets Vettori onto the ground momentarily but Vettori gets back up to his feet. Cannonier controls Vettori in the clinch but they end up separating.
Both fighters exchange in the pocket. Vettori takes down Cannonier, but Cannonier doesn’t stay on the ground for long, getting up to his feet quickly. Vettori is more active on the feet in the last minute of the round.

Round 4:
Cannonier catches Vettori with a hard right cross. Vettori fires a body kick. The contenders trade strikes on the feet. Cannonier finds a home for his leg kicks. Cannonier gets a perfectly timed takedown on Vettori but the Italian fighter gets back up from it. Cannonier’s jab works wonders for him. Cannonier sets a record for most significant strikes in a middleweight fight, the broadcast reports. Vettori lands a kick and then a punch right before the bell sounds.

Round 5:
Cannonier pumps out punches on Vettori. Cannonier clips Vettori with a counter right hand and then again. Cannonier’s right hand continues to land with excellent precision. Cannonier paints Vettori’s face red with his punches. Cannonier unleashes great combos on the very tough Vettori, who refuses to go down. Cannonier grabs a takedown. Vettori gets back up but is met with insane pressure from Cannonier. Vettori and Cannonier clinch in the final seconds of the fight.
