UFC Undisputed 3 will have a ‘Pride Mode’ feature

Pride never die, and if it did, we’re all necrophiliacs. THQ recognizes our obsession for the deceased and have enabled us to relive our wildest fantasies with the new UFC Undisputed 3 which will launch at the beginning of 2012 (that is, if the world is still here). The new installment of the series will feature a ‘Pride Mode’ which will give you the option to respect your opponent in the ring by repeatedly soccer-kicking them in the skull as they manage to regain consciousness. However, above all else, the game will feature Stephen Quadros as an official commentator in the game.

“UFC Undisputed 3 will mark the debut of PRIDE Mode, enabling players to fight for the first time in the renowned Japanese MMA organization. The mode will include official commentators Bas Rutten and Stephen Quadros, authentic environments and notorious MMA rules, including the ability to execute soccer-style kicks, head stomps and ground knees to the head.”

Players will also experience the excitement of a live UFC event through significant visual improvements, including the introduction of much-anticipated fighter entrances, new camera positions, improved facial animations and a gritty, high contrast appearance. They will enter into battle with an unparalleled choice of more than 150 playable UFC fighters, including talent from the newly added featherweight and bantamweight divisions.

Props to the Fight Professor for keeping this little nugget of information under wraps for the past few months. Also, 150+ playable characters may seem a little daunting considering the game will not feature characters from Strikeforce. Although, don’t be surprised if THQ releases some DLC in the future to make this happen. [Source]
