[div class=”notice” class2=”icon”]The following is from an article on MMA-Japan, part of the MiddleEasy Network.[/div]
Let me get this out of the way, the 2006 Open Weight Grand Prix is my favorite thing ever. As a Cro Cop fan there are so many lasting images from that tournament, Cro Cop and Nakamura helping Yoshida out of the ring, Cro Cop’s head kick KO over Wanderlei Silva and of course a teary eyed getting the belt placed around his waist, covering his eyes with those iconic blue Pride gloves. But this is not what I am here to talk about right now, although if you want to continue this conversation you are more than welcome to join me and my cat Tardy in my basement.
What I am here to talk about is Josh Barnett and Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira and how they must complete their trilogy at UFC: Japan. While I must admit VHS has a better chance of making a comeback than this fight does of happening I really don’t care because this is MY wish list and I can do whatever I want. There are many obstacles in the way, one being the SFGP which the finals are scheduled to take place early next year. Two while Josh Barnett and Dana White have appeared to mend their relationship, Barnett is far from a lock to come over to the UFC when all is said and done.
