Marlon “Chito” Vera isn’t fazed by the trash talk and breakdowns Henry Cejudo is known for.

Vera and Cejudo are expected to collide on the main card of UFC 292. The two will clash inside the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. It’s a big opportunity for “Chito” to make his mark in the 135-pound title picture, especially after coming off a loss against Cory Sandhagen.

As for Cejudo, he’s looking for the quickest path back to a title fight. He dropped a split decision against Aljamain Sterling in a failed bid to become a two-time UFC Bantamweight Champion.

Chito Vera Talks Henry Cejudo’s Trash Talk

During an appearance on the “Believe You Me” podcast, Vera shared his take on Cejudo’s attempts to get under the skin of his opponents.

“He can make all the breakdowns he wants, he can talk all the sh*t he wants,” Vera said. “Deep down, he’s still a little bit of a c*nt. So, I’m gonna show that, I’m gonna put pressure, and wherever the fight goes I’m gonna f***ing fight like my life depends on it and it’s gonna be a good fight. I guarantee that, it’s gonna be a great fight.”

Answer To Wrestling

With that said, Vera admitted that Cejudo’s wrestling is top notch and is difficult to match. “Chito” did note, however, that once the wrestler gets punched in the mouth, things become a bit more even.

“A guy like him is really good in the clinch,” Vera said. “I mean, I feel like I could wrestle for the next five years and probably don’t get to his level, and that would probably be the same for everybody in the division. If you’re starting on him just wrestle, it’s gonna probably be impossible for him to win, but this is MMA. The levels get pretty equal once you’re punching people in the face and you keep the right attitude and you keep in shape. You might take me down, you might put me in the clinch, but you still gotta fight.”

Vera went on to say that Cejudo is someone who likes to go for it, and he feels that may be “Triple C’s” downfall against him. “Chito” said that he’s going to throw some “fire” against Cejudo, and his mindset is to win the fight at all costs.
