Tyrone Spong makes his MMA debut with a walk-off KO that wasn’t even meant to be a walk-off KO

What happens when a walk-off KO is so baller it wasn’t even a walk-off KO? Only Tyrone Spong is capable of such a feat. Only Spong can be so comfortable in his ability to hurt another human being that he gets confused about the rules, and thinks an 8-count is incoming. Don’t think this will disqualify Spong from the MiddleEasy walk-off KO of the Year award, it may actually put him over the top to win. That’s how slick that was.

At the World Series of Fighting tonight, the kickboxing demigod made his MMA debut against a dude in Travis Bartlett who had ‘over 90 boxing matches,’ but as you can tell by the title and first few lines of the article, it didn’t really matter. Spong would strut into the cage, throw a series of headkicks that would made everyone in the vicinity blush, then methodically pick apart Bartlett with punches thrown so hard it may have residual effect on some of the swing states in the upcoming election.

Here’s Twitter’s reaction, with a resource-hogging .gif after the jump.

Thanks to ZombieProphet for the .gif, of course.
