Tony Ferguson’s Wife Cristina Drops The Restraining Order Case
Last month former UFC interim champion Tony Ferguson’s wife Cristina filed a restraining order against him following alleged domestic abuse. The Orange County (Calif. ) family court ordered ‘El Cucuy’ to stay 100 yards away from his wife and son who’s just two years old.
The court hearing scheduled for April 5th, however, that didn’t happen according to Cristina’s lawyer Jeffery L. Heath. As a result, the restraining order case has expired, and no further action is needed as per MMAFighting.
“There are no matters pending in this case,” Cristina Ferguson’s lawyer Jeffery L. Heath wrote in an e-mail.
Earlier this month Ferguson let the MMA world know that he’s cleared his medical evaluation and returning to the Octagon soon however UFC head honcho wasn’t sure on the matter and said let the UFC doctors figure that matter out before he allowed to return.
Over the past few days, Ferguson has posted several photos of him with his son on social media.
If and when he returns to the Octagon, it’s likely that Tony Ferguson would take on the winner of Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Dustin Poirier, who’s expected to take on this September presumably at UFC Abu Dhabi.
