TJ Dillashaw: “I Was Sent To “Kill” UFC Flyweight Division”

TJ Dillashaw Confesses He Had Been Offered A Lot Of Money To Kill 125-Pound Division And Collect The Second Belt

The UFC Flyweight division is in a big problem at the moment. UFC recently told that they even planned to shut it down. But Dana White claims the organization worked on “some things” at the moment. For now, the future of 125-pound division can’t be predicted.

But TJ Dillashaw said something shocking on Ariel Helwani MMA show this week. Actually, “Viper” bragged that he “had been offered so much money to kill UFC Flyweight division and collect the second belt”. But TJ could lose to Henry Cejudo. “The Messenger” is a very tough opponent. You can’t ignore that he dethroned Demetrious Johnson after 11 successful title defenses.

If “Killashaw” loses, what could happen next? Can the former Olympic wrestling medalist save the future of 125-pound weight class? Also, there is one more question without an answer. Who would give a Bantamweight champion that kind of mission?

Now let’s take a brief look in the past. Demetrious Johnson was traded to ONE FC. Jose “Shorty” Torres and Jarred Brooks were released.

Henry Cejudo was thinking about free agency. Recently, “The Messenger” said he wanted to renew his UFC contract only if he won “Viper”. He also stated that his contract allowed him a Bantamweight title shot against “Killashaw”. Of course, if he wins the super fight. Things are getting so messy here!

Dana White offers a different explanation. He claims that TJ Dillashaw is the guy who wanted to become two-division champion. (via MMAJunkie.com)

“Dillashaw wants to win two belts,” White told the FS1 post-fight show on Saturday. “There’s five or six guys who have done it, he wants to do it.”

The future of UFC Flyweight division is unknown. Is Dana White keeping the division alive only to let “Viper” become a two-division champion? Will a 125-pound stop existing soon? We’re about to see! Can you predict the outcome?
