Tim Sylvia vs. Paul Buentello is going to be amazing

The last time I saw Tim Sylvia was at a post-fight press conference in Worchester, MA. He asked me to pass him a bottle of water and then pointed out my fly was down. Amazingly, he was the first person to notice my zipper was at half-staff the entire evening. Either the lighting at the DCU Center was dim, or Tim Sylvia has owl-like vision and extraordinary attention to detail. If Mariusz Pudzianowski understood English, he probably would have joined Roxanne Modafferi, Butterbean, and the rest of the room enjoying a laugh at my wardrobe-malfunction’s expense. Props to The Fight Nerd for the emotional support thereafter.

Luckily, Tim Sylvia will be attending at least one more post-fight press conference after he meets Paul ‘The Headhunter’ Buentello at ‘War on the Mainland’ on August 14th at the Bren Events Center in Irvine, California. Freshly released from the UFC following his loss to Cheick Kongo, Buentello is staying busy as he just came off a win against Bryan Humes about a month ago. Other UFC veterans expected to partake in the festivities on that fightcard are Thales Leites, Jason Lambert, Terry Martin, and Jens Pulver. Since Shine Fights detonated the worlds first nuclear implosion, ‘War on the Mainland’ has now been upgraded to ‘Potential Sleeper Card of the Year‘ status. [Source]
