Thrilla in the Philippine Village Hotel, The day an iconic Ali fight took a back seat to a massive orgy

Thrilla in the Philippine Village Hotel, The day an iconic Ali fight took a back seat to a massive orgy

On October 1, 1975, Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier fought for the third and final time. We know it now as the “Thrilla in Manila.” Longtime boxing promoter Bob Arum watched Ali win first hand, when Frazier failed to answer the opening bell for the 15th round. In an interview last year, Arum said that one of the “most memorable experiences [he] ever had in [his] life” was exiting Araneta Coliseum and seeing the sun. “[W]e had just seen this unbelievable fight and the sun was the brightest that I have ever seen and it was almost as if everyone was blinded by the daylight.”

Beautiful imagery for sure, really moving on a spiritual level. But it turns out the sun took a second seat to a massive orgy, according to a new interview with fighthubtv.

“Fight was over at eleven in the morning. And we went outside, and there was the sun. We saw the sun. And we all went back to the Philippine Village Hotel, and we had an orgy for two days. Never screwed so many women in my life, in one short period of time,” Arum remembered.

“That’s how I remember the Thrilla in Manila.”

So yeah, nice fight and everything, but how flexible were those triplets from Quezon City?

Bob does remember to applaud Ali for his then-controversial position on the Vietnam War, and for being an advocate for civil rights.

“As history evolved, it turned out that he was on the right side.”

Arum continued, “. . . People said that he was somebody that was truly touched by God.”

And perhaps a couple dozen Filipina call girls. But to be fair to the otherworldly luminary, it is unclear whether Ali was part of the “we all” that participated in the massive nooner following the legendary fight.
