The MMA world may not come to a unanimous conclusion as to who Shinya Aoki’s ‘DREAM: Fight for Japan’ opponent will be by the end of the week, but hopefully we can all agree that the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for NES was impossible to beat. They made that game incredibly hard to set up a generation of children for failure. There’s not a single person on the face of this earth that had the patience to sit through that game in its entirety. If, at some point in your life, you encounter an individual that claims they beat that game, just ignore them. You can never believe another word from that person’s mouth because they just presented the impossible and shrouded it in truth.
For the time being, what’s definite is that Shinya Aoki will fight Rich Clementi at DREAM: Fight for Japan. Although, judging by the last four opponents that were ‘100% going to face Aoki’, we’re not sure if Clementi will make the final cut. According to Mike Kogan last night on Twitter and MMAJunkie shortly thereafter, Clementi is cleared and has agreed to face Shinya Aoki on May 29th. If this changes (and it probably will) we’ll throw an update directly in your pretty little faces. [Source]
