Dana White’s Power Slap League made its debut on Wednesday Night and caught the eye of Buffalo Bills receiver Stefon Diggs.

For several months, the UFC has been pushing a brand new combat sport, slap fighting. President of the UFC, Dana White has decided to embark on this journey in slap fighting and has begun his very own league, along with UFC founder Lorenzo Frettita. The league is called Power Slap and they held their very first event on TBS this week. So far there have been mixed reviews of Power Slap, and some of the biggest stars in sports gave their opinion, including Stefon Diggs of the Buffalo Bills.

The premise behind Power Slap is pitting two men or two women against each other, taking turns slapping each other’s faces until one cannot continue. The first event was a prerecorded taping of a reality-style show that looked to find some new and bright star in the slap-fighting world.

Stefon Diggs stumbled upon Power Slap while watching TV and was pretty confused at first

The first Power Slap episode was set to originally air last week but was pushed back due to some bad press surrounding founder White. White was seen on New Year’s Eve slapping his wife while out at a club. Now despite this incident, TBS decided to run the slap-fighting and although the numbers are not yet out, seems to have found at least one potential fan in Diggs.

“What am I watching?” he wrote on his Instagram story. “I never watch TV anymore, only Netflix and this what be on TV Jesus Christ.”

Diggs shared a few clips with his fans while providing a little commentary. He seemed to be getting into it by the end.

White and company are convinced that this “sport” will become a hit with fight fans and the fighters will become viral sensations. Thanks to Diggs and others it seems that they are right.
