Snoop Dogg always knew Sean O’Malley would be a UFC champion.
When O’Malley fought on the first season of the Contender Series – six years ago -, Snoop Dogg was a commentator and had nothing but praise for the bantamweight. After O’Malley got the knockout, the rapper yelled’ O’Malley’ repeatedly and even said ‘Suga’ would be a UFC champion.
Now, on Saturday night, O’Malley became the UFC bantamweight champion as he scored a second-round TKO win over Aljamain Sterling. It was a great performance and after the win, Snoop Dogg had nothing but praise for O’Malley.

“Great f**king win, champ. The Suga Show starts now. You made me some money last night, nephew. Good sh*t,” Snoop Dogg said.
Snoop Dogg also took to his Instagram to give further praise to Sean O’Malley for the win and becoming the new champ.
“I knew he was a dogg the first time I seen him swing 🐾🐾 let the suga show begin,” Snoop Dogg wrote.
The win was massive for Sean O’Malley and having Snoop Dogg’s support will only make him an even bigger star.

After Snoop Dogg commentated Sean O’Malley’s Contender Series fight, the two became close and remained in contact.
However, that night after he won, O’Malley reveals he went to Snoop Dogg’s trailer and smoked with him.
“Right when I walked into his trailer, he handed me a joint and I was pumped. It felt like a movie because I walked into his trailer and he’s got his body guards, he’s got a couple of other people in there, and there was like three joints going around,” O’Malley said on The MMA Hour. “I was puffin’ and passin’, trying to keep up, and they had a TV in there playing highlights of my fight, so were watching that and smoking, it was so much fun. It was only like 20 or 30 minutes, but it was a good time and a memory forever.”
Ultimately, credit where credit is due, Snoop Dogg claimed Sean O’Malley would be a UFC champion after calling his Contender Series fight and he did just that.
