Now Sports Illustrated’s (and my imaginary drinking buddy) Josh Gross has tweeted (twatted?) that multiple sources confirm that Melendez will defend his belt against the second best lightweight in the world, Shinya Aoki. The fight will be on the same card as Shields vs. Hendo, King Mo vs. Mousasi and it’s even rumored that even Herschel Walker will fight.
