UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland has interesting ways of ending his boredom.

When’s not fighting contenders in the crowd of UFC events, or holding an intruder at gunpoint, Strickland apparently likes to unwind by getting into a “Roman candle battle.” The UFC middleweight champion and social media personality Nina Drama have grown chummy over the last year, and what better way to show it than a fireworks fight?

Sean Strickland & Nina Drama Engage In “Roman Candle Battle”

Nina Drama took to her X account to upload footage of the fireworks war, which she claimed was censored by YouTube. While Nina was well-armed with her helmet, Strickland decided to go shirtless at one point.

Sean Strickland is scheduled to put his UFC Middleweight Championship on the line against Dricus Du Plessis on January 20. The title fight will headline UFC 297 inside the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It’ll be Strickland’s first fight since September 2023 when he shocked the world by defeating Israel Adesanya in a masterful performance to capture the 185-pound gold.

Things have become quite personal between Strickland and Du Plessis. It began during a press conference hyping their upcoming title fight. During some trash talk between the two, Dricus brought up Strickland’s past childhood trauma. While the two had a heated staredown, they didn’t get physical until Strickland lunged at Du Plessis in the crowd during UFC 296. No damage had been done to either man, which was sure to be a relief for Dana White, who decided to have the two sit near each other.

Fans have been keeping close tabs on Strickland and seeing just how long his title reign can last. An impressive win over Dricus would see Strickland’s stock rise even more. Former UFC title challenger and top draw during his fighting days, Chael Sonnen, recently shared on his YouTube channel that he feels Strickland could be developing into a top three UFC star.
