Things are beginning to heat up between UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley and his first title challenger, Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera.
On Saturday, March 9, O’Malley will put his 135-pound crown on the line for the very first time against the only man to hand him a loss inside the Octagon. Bumping into one another days before they step inside the cage for a rematch nearly four years in the making, the two shared some interesting trash talk.
“Ready to get knocked out?” O’Malley asked, to which Vera responded saying, “Come s*ck my d*ck.”
“Come suck my d*ck”
“That’s weird…”

Dumbfounded, O’Malley could only muster one response to the awkward invite — “That’s weird…”
Despite Taking Very Different Paths, Sean O’Malley and ‘Chito’ Vera Find Themselves Once Again Standing Across From One Another
‘Sugar’ and ‘Chito’ first met at UFC 252 in August 2020. On that night, Vera came out on top after he connected with a leg kick that compromised O’Malley in the opening round. With O’Malley unable to stay on his feet, Vera pounced on his opponent and finished the fight via ground and pound with 20 seconds left in the first.
Since then, both men have been on different career trajectories with Vera slowly working his way up the bantamweight top ten while O’Malley practically bypassed everyone with a win over former champion Petr Yan in October 2022. That scored him a title shot with then-champion Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292 in August. O’Malley dispatched the ‘Funk Master’ 51 seconds into the second round to claim his first world title.
As for Marlon Vera, the Ecuadorian has won five of his last six bouts inside the Octagon, including a victory over Pedro Munhoz on the same night that Sean O’Malley won the bantamweight belt.
Vera’s only losses since upsetting ‘Sugar’ in 202o have come against P4P legend Jose Aldo and perennial contender Cory Sandhagen.
