Breaking News: Rose Namajunas Vs Jessica Andrade Slated For UFC 237!

UFC Strawweight Champion Rose Namajunas Is Set To Defend Her Title Versus Jessica Andrade At UFC 237!

Rose Namajunas (8-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC) will fight again! She didn’t fight since April 2018 due to a serious neck injury. “Thug Rose” is set to defend UFC Strawweight title versus dangerous Brazilian Jessica Andrade (19-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC).

Brett Okamoto from ESPN announced the two will meet in a title match on May 11, 2019, in Brazil, at UFC 237.

“Breaking: Rose Namajunas will defend her strawweight title against Jessica Andrade in enemy territory, at UFC 237 on May 11 in Brazil, per Dana White. More coming to @ESPN shortly.” BRETT OKAMOTO tweeted

Rose Namajunas is on a winning streak at the moment. At UFC On Fox 24, on April 15, 2017, she choked out Michelle Waterson in the second round. “Thug Rose” then shocked everybody when she put Joanna Jedrzejczyk to sleep at UFC 217 and won UFC Strawweight title. In her last match at UFC 223, Namajunas successfully remained the champion after five rounds of war against “JJ”.

Jessica Andrade already fought for UFC Strawweight title once. It happened at UFC 211, on May 13, 2017, in Dallas, Texas, when she lost to Joanna Jedrzejczyk via unanimous decision.

“Bate Estaca” is also on a hot streak. She earned unanimous decision victories over Claudia Gadelha at UFC Fight Night 117 and Tecia Torres at UFC On Fox 28. Jessica Andrade last fought at the co-main event of UFC 228, where she dominated Karolina Kowalkiewicz for a first-round KO win.

What are your thoughts on this? Jessica Andrade is a superb fighter, with great striking skills and ground game. Rose Namajunas is known for fast punches, excellent kicks, and fantastic chokes! This will be a great match, no doubt about that!
