Robbie Lawler versus Rory MacDonald was one of those fights that showed exactly why fighting in a cage is awesome, and exactly why maybe no one should do it ever. The highs and the lows of being a combatant in battle were perfectly displayed while the realities of head trauma and mangled faces were at the forefront.
Blood flowed, glory was had, and in the end, Robbie Lawler’s hand was raised. But Rory MacDonald and Iowa’s son would likely never be the same. It was beautiful, until Robbie looked in the mirror. Then he was all like ewwww.
